LoJ is on TWITTER!

Well I decided to make the jump and get the Lions of Judah on Twitter for alot of different reasons floating around in my head! One of them was because I've found I enjoy writing tweets, but also I love sharing gaming news with people! And I've found that using Twitter is a great way to share gaming news, a neat story, video, funny picture, etc... pretty much anything! I'm interested to see how it will work out... and how many (IF any) followers we get!

So come and check out or new Twitter, and follow us! And remember, YOU DO NOT have to have a Twitter account to read the things I post there. Community Feature: GAMES!

Hello Lions!

I wanted to point out a neat feature that some of you may not know exists on our website - GAMES!

Yes we actually have various flash games hosted right here on the LoJ Website. They are games that I personally have enjoyed over the past year or so, and wanted to share with you all. There are games of all types to play -- such as Role-Playing Games, Puzzle Games, Action Games, etc. etc.

WELCOME to the NEW Lions of Judah Community Website!

It has been 1.5 years since the first website went online. We have come a long way since then. A HUGE thanks goes out to Ademar for helping by getting me kickstarted on building this site, by actually building frameworks for the site, and helping me with all the new modules that I didn't know existed!

So what IS new on the site? Here is brief list of some of the more notable changes:

• One Site to Rule them All! This will be the one and only community site for all Chapters. No more segregated websites!
  
• Streamlined Forums. Tried to make the forums easier on the eyes, not as long, and more organized. This will probably change as it gets used on a regular basis.
  
• Custom Site Themes. We will now have themes for each of the games represented in LoJ. There will be the basic "community theme", which you should see now (and is my personal favorite), but there will also be a theme for WoW, LOTRO & WAR! You can change the theme on the front page, where you see the Theme Box on the left! (WAR Theme is currently down, as it decided to get buggy!)
  
• Calendar! Now anyone can post events on the Calendar we have here. Just click on a date on the Calendar to the left, and voila, it will create an event for you - and automatically put it into the Event Calendar forum!
  
• AJAX Instant Quick Reply.  Just scroll to the bottom of any post, and there will be a simple white box where you can just type a quick reply and hit "post" - and it shows up instantly! Note: No formatting will be available on the quick reply.
  
• Pre-loaded Custom Avatars. So I created a whole slew of avatars for WoW, LOTRO and WAR. Just go into your "Forum Profile" options, and choose a new avatar from the list!
  
• Bible BBC Code. Need a verse quick? Easy. Just type [bible]John 3:16[/bible] and the forums will automatically insert it for you!
  Verse of the Day from Bible Gateway on the front page!
  
• Shoutbox added at the top of the forum pages (aka. a simple chat box)
  
• WoW Characters for your profile! Add up to 5 characters! The first 3 will show up when you post in the forums. (sorry I tried to do this with LOTRO & WAR as well, just didn't work)
  
• Free Flash Games! I've put up a section that I will periodically update with my what I think are the best flash games around! Best of all.. you can play them right here, on the LoJ website :)
  
• Articles/Blog. I love gaming news, and I love to talk about it too. So I'm going to post my thoughts/ideas/rants about various gaming news on the front page of the site here. And of course, you guys can comment on my thoughts (just click the Add Comment button below my articles... even this article!)
  
• Gaming RSS Feeds. On the right side of the front page will be one RSS feed for each game we support! LOTRO, WoW and WAR!
  
• Profile Comments. Go ahead, comment on anyone's profile! Be nice! :)

I think that's about it! And of course.. there are a few more.. but I can't think of them right now. I'm sure you'll find them though!
